Scholarship offer of the Government of India for Venezuelan Citizens

The Government of India offers 04 full scholarships to Venezuelan citizens wishing to undertake university-level studies in India during the academic year 2021-22. These scholarships are offered under the General Scholarship Scheme (A1201) of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), to undertake graduation, post-graduate, masters and PhD courses. Studies in medicine / paramedical (nursing) / physiotherapy / anesthesia / fashion are not arranged under the Scheme.

 

All expenses with the exception of the air ticket of the selected students to carry out higher studies in India such as tuition, maintenance, housing and medical care costs (according to the Central Government Health Scheme) among others will be paid by the Government of the India. Compulsory medical insurance is a mandatory requirement for availing of ICCR’s scholarship with a minimum sum assured for Indian Rupees Five Lakhs which is equivalent to US$ 6,800 per annum.

 

The application must be completed through the “Admission 2 Alumni (A2A)” portal, where the candidates must complete a web form and upload all documents related to previous studies along with certified translations. In addition, candidates must upload a 500-word essay in English to ascertain English proficiency. The Embassy of India in Caracas invites all interested students to visit university / institute websites and do thorough research of courses offered, eligibility criteria and general information about the university / institute before applying for admission.

 

 For further information about universities in India participating on the scholarship program, terms, conditions and application forms please visit: http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in. Applications will be received on the A2A portal from 15 March 2021 until 30 April 2021.

 

All applicants must be 18 years age at the time of admission in Indian universities / institutes and not more than 30 years of age and must have an appropriate English level that would allow to understand the selected courses.
