Gift of medicines and medical supplies from Government of India to Government to Venezuela

        Around 4 tons of medicines and medical supplies related to COVID-2019 and other diseases were gifted to H.E. Ms. Delcy Rodríguez, Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and H.E. Dr. Carlos Alvarado, Minister of People's Power for Health by H.E. Shri Abhishek Singh, Ambassador of India to Venezuela. The ceremony was held at La Casona duly following all the necessary measures implemented in wake of Covid-19 pandemic. The medicines included Hydroxychloroquine, Paracetamol, Metronidazole, Cefotaxime Sodium, Ceftriaxone, Vitamin C, Ibuprofen, Lopinavir/Ritonavir, Levorcetrizine, Amikacin and Amoxycillin+Clavulinic Acid.

2.      Ambassador H.E. Shri Abhishek Singh called it a great moment for strengthening of people to people ties between India and Venezuela. He emphasized that Government of India is with the Government of Venezuela in the battle against corona virus. He highlighted the role of India as "Pharmacy of the world" and the best practices India has adopted to contain the pandemic. He also mentioned the benefits of Yoga and India's traditional system of medicine, Ayurveda in this regard. 

3.      H.E. Ms. Delcy Rodríguez, Executive Vice President spoke about the close bilateral relations between the two countries and her spiritual connect with India. She welcomed the Ambassador and assured of her Government's support in strengthening the ties further. She also mentioned about her visit to Puttaparthi, India last year.

4.      A set of DVD/Pen Drive on 'Collected Works' of Mahatma Gandhi, a symbol of Peace and Non-Violence was also presented by Ambassador to the Executive Vice President.
