Celebration of ITEC Day 2019

To mark ITEC Day 2019, Embassy of India, Caracas held a reception on 20th September, 2019. The ceremony began with lighting of the traditional lamp by Chargé d’Affaires Vishwa Nath Goel and the Chief Guest, Venezuelan Vice Minister for Asia, Middle East and Oceania H.E. Mr Rubén Darío Molina.

2. Cd’A welcomed all the guests and greeted them on the occasion of 55th anniversary of ITEC. He urged the ITEC alumni to keep in touch with the Indian Embassy and to apply the knowledge gained under ITEC for their professional and personal development. Vice Minister H.E. Mr. Molina congratulated all the Venezuelan alumni on their participation in ITEC and for successfully completing the training courses. Likewise, he praised the efforts of the Government of India to share their knowledge of social-economic development and technological advancement with the Venezuelan aspirants.

3. Two ITEC students spoke about their ITEC experiences, highlighting how this programme helped them to improve their professional skills and gave them the opportunity to visit ‘Incredible India’.

4. The attendees enjoyed the colourful Indian cultural programme by Venezuelan local groups Goura Nataraj, Taj Mahal Venezuela and Academia Tatiana Fragiel Productions, that followed the speeches. Indian dinner was served at the end for around 100 guests, including Venezuelan Government Officers and ITEC alumni.
