68th Republic Day of India celebrated in Caracas

The 68th Republic Day of India was celebrated in Caracas at the Embassy Residence. Ambassador Rahul Shrivastava unfurled the national flag and read out President of India's address to the nation on the eve of the Republic Day. More than 60 members of the Indian community and friends of India in Venezuela participated in the event.

The Ambassador of India, H.E. Mr. P. K. Ashokbabu, met with the Mayor of the Municipality of Chacao, Mr. Gustavo Duque and his wife, Mrs. Vanessa Bachrich. They discussed the possibilities of cultural exchange between the Embassy and the Municipality of Chacao.

Ashokbabu had visited the ENCAVA plant in the city of Valencia with businessmen Mr. Carlos Mejias, President of ENCAVA Group Mr. Francisco Conejero, Vice President of Plant, Mr. Miguel Canchica, Vice President of Marketing and Sales and Mr. Felix Gutierrez, Vice President of International Purchasing.
