THE MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS, "LEGAL CONSULTANCY"- DIRECTION OF INTERNATIONAL TREATIES, presents its compliments to the Honorable Embassy of India in Caracas and has the honor to make reference to the Agreement on Visa exemption for Diplomatic, Official and Service passports between the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Government of the Republic of India, undersigned in Caracas on August 31 st , 2005.

 

On this particular, we would like to let the Honorable Diplomatic Representation of India about the compliance by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela of the internal legal formalities necessary to the implementation of the referred International Instrument. On this regard, the referred instrument will enter into force in the date of the response of this note by the Honorable Government of India, in compliance with article 8 of the referred Agreement.

Ministry of External Affairs (CPV Division) presents its compliments to the Bolivarian republic of Venezuela and with reference to the agreement on visa exemption for diplomatic, official and service passport holders, has the honor to inform that all requirements for implementation of the Agreement have been completed.

 

According to Article 8, the Agreement enters into force from the date of last communication through which the Parties inform each other regarding completion of respective internal requirements. As the Venezuelan side has already done so, it is informed that the Government of India shall implement the agreement with effect from the date of this communication i.e. 18th November, 2005.

Subject: Visa waiver agreement between Government of India and Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for diplomatic and Official Passport holders for a maximum period of 90 days.

 

Government of India has signed withy the Government of Bolivarian republic of Venezuela on Visa Exemption for diplomatic and official passpor holders for a maximum period of 90 days. All Immigration Check posts under the jurisdiction of State Governments / UT s may be informed that Venezuelan diplomatic and official passport holders should be allowed to enter and stay in the country for a maximum period of 90 days without visas. A copy of the instructuions issued to the Immigration checkpost may also be endorsed to this Ministry.
