54th, 55th and 56th Editions of Know India Programme

 

1.         The Government of India has announced 54th, 55th and 56th Editions of ‘Know India Programme’, which is a three-week orientation programme for diaspora youth conducted with a view to promote awareness on different facets of life in India and the progress made by the country in various fields.

2.         The programme is open to youth of Indian origin (excluding non-resident Indians) in the age group of 18-30 years. The applicants must have an undergraduate degree from a recognized University/Institute or must be enrolled for graduation and should be able to speak in English.

3.         The participants are provided local hospitality e.g. boarding/lodging and internal transportation in India. The participants will have to bear 10% of total air fare cost. Participants are also requested to obtain an international travel and medical insurance policy for their visit to India.

4.         Schedule is as under:

        I.            54th KIP:  August 01 - 25, 2019. Partner State: Punjab and Haryana

      II.            55th KIP:  September 03 - 27, 2019. Partner State: Goa

   III.            54th KIP:  August 01 - 25, 2019. Partner State: Kerala

5.         The interested Indian youth Diasporas may apply online at the following link to participate in any of these editions. http://kip.gov.in/. More details are also available on this webpage. However applicants who have already visited India under any Government of India’s funding schemes will not be eligible.
