Exhibition of Indian Tea

Embassy of India, Caracas organized an Exhibition on “Chai de la India – Un Sabor del Cielo (Chai of India, a heavenly flavour), at Centro ComercialGalerías Los Naranjos, Caracas, Venezuela, from 5 to 7 December 2019. More than 800 people including representatives of the Venezuelan Ministry of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Ministry of People’s Power for Tourism and Foreign Trade, members of the Diplomatic corps, business stakeholders and Venezuelan citizens attended the event. Tea tasting of the 5 varieties of Indian tea, Assam, Darjeeling, Nilgiri, Kangra and Sikkim, provided by the Tea Board of India, was also arranged during the event.

2. Cd’A addressed the gathering and informed about the benefits and different varieties of Indian tea, duly emphasizing the quality control ensured by the Tea Board of India. He encouraged the people to taste the Indian tea and promote it to their friends and families. He also suggested that they may ask their grocers to import Indian tea carrying the logo of the Tea Board of India.

3. General Manager of Centro ComercialGalerías Los Naranjos, Mrs. Milagros Ramírez, thanked the Embassy for organizing the event in their premises and encouraged the visitors of the mall to join the exhibition.

4. Local cultural groups performed Bollywood and Odissi dances during the inauguration ceremony, which was highly appreciated by the participants.

5. Publicity material and videos of Incredible India were also displayed.
