Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Study Centre opens in Venezuela, 14 April 2016

The 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was celebrated in Venezuela by opening a Study Centre named after him in Santa Maria University, Caracas (USM). The Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Study Centre was inaugurated by the Vice Rector of USM, Dr. Carlos Peña and Ambassador Rahul Shrivastava. In a befitting tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the Study Centre is located in the Law Faculty of USM. The Study Centre is the first of its kind in Venezuela. USM is one of the largest universities in Venezuela with an enrolment of over 50000 students. The Law Faculty itself has over 8000 students.
